The Dillsburg Karate Academy teaches Isshinryu Karate and is known for using traditional Okinawan techniques and methods for learning this style. Our school is also known and well-regarded in central Pennsylvania for our Kid's Program. In all of our classes and programs, we stress respect and discipline along with gaining knowledge and improving physical ability. The school participates in many local competitions, demonstrations and other events and is highly regarded for the discipline and respect that our students demonstrate.

NEWS: On Saturday, April 26, 2014, our Instructors, including Grandmaster Hovey, Grandmaster Crimmins, and Master Vasquez promoted Sensei Zach Miller to the rank of Roku-Dan (6th Degree). NEWS: On Monday, April 28, 2014, in honor of Sensei Zach Miller's promotion to Roku-Dan and in recognition of his hard work, dedication, and ongoing training, Hanshi Rod Crimmins presented Sensei Miller withi Master Crimmin's own black belt. Photos can be found on our 2014 Events Page.

EVENT: On August 15-17, 2014, Hanshi Karl Hovey and Sensei Kevin Kline hosted the 2014 Camp Hovey-Kan in King George, Virginia. Master Crimmins and Sensei Bennett attended this great event. Photos from this event can be found on our 2014 Events Page.
TOURNAMENT: On Saturday, October 25, 2014, the Dillsburg Karate Academy will host the 5th Annual Shiai at the Franklintown Fire Hall, on Baltimore Rd, in Dillsburg. For more information, please see the Flyer/Registration form HERE, or contact Sensei Miller.
CHANGE TO SATURDAY CLASSES: Beginning on June 21, 2014 and running until (likely) October, our dojo will be offering Saturday classes running from 10:00am-Noon. The dojo requests a $5.00 donation if you attend one of these classes. However, the following Saturdays classes are open ONLY for Blackbelt and Senior Brownbelt Students: 7/12, 8/9, 9/13, and 10/11.
