The Dillsburg Karate Academy teaches Isshinryu Karate and is known for using traditional Okinawan techniques and methods for learning this style. Our school is also known and well-regarded in central Pennsylvania for our Kid's Program. In all of our classes and programs, we stress respect and discipline along with gaining knowledge and improving physical ability. The school participates in many local competitions, demonstrations and other events and is highly regarded for the discipline and respect that our students demonstrate.

During inclement weather - the Dillsburg Karate Academy follows the Northern York County School District's (NYCSD) closure schedule.  If Northern York closes early or does not open due to weather, the dojo will be closed.  Please see the Northern York's WEBSITE or WGAL's Closing Website for closure information.
NEWS:   On March 22, our senior instructors tested Mr. Clark Miller and Mr. Ralph Miller for the rank of San-Dan (Instructor).  On March 23, they were both promoted.  We are proud to now call them both Sensei.  Photos can be found on the 2016 Events Page.
NEWS:   On March 18, our blackbelts tested Tyler Rodgers for the rank of Sho-Dan (first degree).  On March 22, he was promoted.  He did a great job in this grueling test.  Mr. Rodgers made us proud.  Photos can be found on the 2016 Events Page.
NEWS:   On April 23, Hanshi Hovey and Sensei Kline hosted the 2016 King George Open Martial Arts Tournament.  Many high ranking instructors were present.  If you missed it, you missed a good tournament.  Photos from this event can be found on the 2016 Events Page.
NEWS:   On April 23, Hanshi Hovey, Hanshi Crimmins and Kyoshi Vasquez promoted Sensei Bennett to the rank of Go-Dan.  On April 25, Kyoshi Vasquez gave Sensei Bennett his stripes in the dojo.  Photos from these events can be found on our 2016 Events Page.
NEWS:   On August 12-14, Hanshi Hovey and Sensei Kline will be hosting the 2016 Camp Hovey Kan in King George, VA.  This event will  have instructors from different Martial Arts and this event has been well attended and VERY instructional.  For the flyer and registration form, click HERE.
NEWS:   On June 22-23, Sensei Terri Tamecki and Sensei Mark Stephens were promoted to the rank of Go-Dan by a panel of Senior Instructors in the dojo.  Both did a fantastic job at their test!  Please join us in congratulating them! Photos from their promotion can be found on our 2016 Events Page.
