The Dillsburg Karate Academy teaches Isshinryu Karate and is known for using traditional Okinawan techniques and methods for learning this style. Our school is also known and well-regarded in central Pennsylvania for our Kid's Program. In all of our classes and programs, we stress respect and discipline along with gaining knowledge and improving physical ability. The school participates in many local competitions, demonstrations and other events and is highly regarded for the discipline and respect that our students demonstrate.

TOURNAMENT: On Saturday, April 25, 2015, Hashi Karl Hovey and Senei Kevin Kline hosted the 12th Annual King George Isshinryu Open Championships.  This was, again, a great tournament and all our students who attended did well. Check back soon for photos from this event.
During inclement weather - the Dillsburg Karate Academy follows the Northern York County School District's (NYCSD) closure schedule.  If Northern York closes early or does not open due to weather, the dojo will be closed.  Please see the Northern York's WEBSITE or WGAL's Closing Website for closure information.
NEWS: On Wednesday, February 18, 2015, the dojo awarded promotions to students who tested on February 16.  Photos from the awards can be seen on our 2015 Events Page.  Congratulations to all on a job well done!
EVENT: On Saturday, March 7, 2015, Master Richard Ruberto presented a seminar at our dojo.  This event presented good techniques and information and we all had a great time.  Many thanks to Ruberto Sensei!.  Photos are available on our 2015 Events Page.
NEWS/EVENT: Our dojo, along with Hanshi Hovey will be hosting the 2015 Camp Hovey-Kan on August 7-9 at the Franklintown Fire Hall.  There will be presents from many different styles of Martial Arts.  We are only accepting 50 particpants, so see the flyer HERE and reserve your spot!  If you have questions, speak to Master Vasquez or Sensei Bennett.
NEWS:  Master Vasquez and Master Crimmins have announced the beginning of Saturday classes.  These classes will begin on June 13, 2015 from 10:00am until noon and will continue until cold weather returns.  The dojo asks for $5 per person to attend these Saturday classes.
NEWS: The dojo will be CLOSED on May 25 to observe Memorial Day.
