The Dillsburg Karate Academy teaches Isshinryu Karate and is known for using traditional Okinawan techniques and methods for learning this style. Our school is also known and well-regarded in central Pennsylvania for our Kid's Program. In all of our classes and programs, we stress respect and discipline along with gaining knowledge and improving physical ability. The school participates in many local competitions, demonstrations and other events and is highly regarded for the discipline and respect that our students demonstrate.

EVENT: Grandmaster Tsuyoshi Uechi, Founder and President of the IOTKA, visited our dojo on August 5, and on August 7, held 2 Seminars in Dillsburg, PA. Portrait photos from both of these events can be found on our 2010 Events Page. There will be more photos posted soon. Thanks to EVERYONE who made these events such a success, especially Uechi Sensei, Hovey Sensei, and OUR Sensei at the Dojo. Please extend a thank you to them when you see them. This was an historic event.
NEWS: On July 17, 2010, Master Crimmins held Seminars in Virginia with Master Karl Hovey relating to Basics and Yaksoku-Kumite. Photos from this seminar can be found on our 2010 Events Page.
TOURNAMENT: On October 23, Master Karl Hovey will be holding a Shiai at the Dillsburg Karate Academy dojo specifically for competitors 21 and under. A flyer and registration form can be found HERE.
TOURNAMENT: The Fogelman/Stoss Isshin-Ryu Karate-Do Shiai will be held for students aged 5-17 years old. This Shiai will be held on October 2 and the cost is ONLY $10 for all events. The Shiai will be held at the Swatara Township Building (599 Eisenhower Blvd) in Harrisburg. Registration starts at 9:30 am and events begin at 10:30am.
