Master Vasquez owns the Dillsburg Karate Academy. He was born in 1958 and is employed by ITP, a commercial printing company as a Production/Quality Control Manager. Sensei Vasquez has studied Isshinryu since February 1994, receiving his Sho-Dan on October 12, 1996. Sensei Vasquez received his current rank on April 26, 2006 from Grandmaster George Iberl.
Master Vasquez has also studied shorinryu karate on Okinawa from 1978-1979. He likes Isshinryu for the reason "that it is a bone crushing style, the style can be used by large and small adults, and also be taught to children. Also that I'm an instructor and can pass on the style on to other students."
Master Vasquez also wants you to know this about Isshinryu. "Isshinryu is a great style for many reasons. It is a street-smart style that is quick and effective. The style comes from the best of two different styles, Gojo-ryu and Shorin-ryu. The style has both open hand and weapon katas."
Master Vaszquez says this of our school. "Dillsburg Karate Academy is a family school and is named for our community. We want to give back to our town as much as possible. We are proud to teach and pass on the knowledge and tradition. As instructors, our goal is to make our students better than we are!"
